Why appeal? Is it useful? 1 week ago

Hello, ladies and gentlemen,
I'm taking the liberty of contacting you. After all, it costs nothing and can't get any worse...
I also want to emphasize that I wish to communicate with you in a respectful and non-aggressive manner.
I've been playing Battlefields since 1942, and the most recent is BF4.
I was one of the players banned a few days ago.
I didn't even know your BF4DB site existed, and to be honest, I'd been playing occasionally on different servers without paying attention for a long time. I'm not a big fan of social media. I'm 49, so it's probably generational...
And I admit I had a little trouble understanding your whole approach following my ban.
I know we're all anonymous and that exchanges can sometimes be tense, even insulting. It's easy to do it behind a screen...
Please know that I'm not questioning the relevance of your site or your actions, which I find legitimate.
Regarding this famous "multihack," I imagine it's a fairly generic term. But in my case, it's a stupid Wemod trainer clumsily left in the background by my son who was initially playing in single-player mode, and I didn't even imagine it could work in multiplayer. I don't even understand how it could be that simple...
My son is primarily a console gamer and has recently been playing (from time to time) on my PC. He's not used to this type of program, and I can assure you that it was a real mistake more than anything else!
But I know what you're going to tell me... I can't prove anything. I should have looked and paid attention... yes, I can't deny it. All I can say is that I was absent for a while, and I realized it later, and it happens; nobody's perfect.
In fact, I contacted your services on Discord to check things out even before the ban, because I hadn't really realized it at the time. I invite you to recheck my game account and you'll see that since BF3, I haven't caused any problems. My stats bear this out, because there's never been anything exceptional; I'm a pretty average player, at least I think so.
I also think that after all these years, if I were a cheater, you would have noticed it a long time ago, especially in such a stupid way, because it's very easy to detect...
I have over 1,100 hours of play (at least I think so), I'm at the maximum level, and almost everything is unlocked. What's the point of cheating in such a ridiculous way? What more could this possibly bring me in this game that dates back to 2013?
I know very well that cheating is intolerable and I don't question that, but sometimes you make a mistake; my son just didn't realize it that day and it only lasted a few minutes.
Now, I don't see how to prove my good faith, and we're not all liars...
I just want to be able to play with my son (who now has his own account) a little longer before this game disappears.
Without wanting to preach, I think you have to know how to be strict but also listen to what others have to say and not throw everything out in a few seconds.
What is the real purpose of an appeal regarding this "multihack" if it is systematically rejected? To publicly ridicule the person making this request? "Hey, look at this idiot cheater trying to save his own skin! How funny is he?"
Why aren't there any escalating penalties? Easy?
Especially since you have the ability to monitor each player, particularly with their game statistics (I've noticed game statistics tables, but I don't understand what that means exactly).
I think a serious warning would be a strong deterrent in many cases, even a temporary or permanent ban in the event of a proven repeat offense.
But you're going to tell me that there's no such thing as small or large-scale cheating, yes, maybe.
Anyway, I know I'm wasting my time (probably), but I wanted to tell you this.

For your information, I used a translator to write this.

You can laugh now, I won't care...

Regards,

Appeal after ban ? 2 weeks ago

Hello,

Like many others (I feel like), I was banned from the BF4 servers...
This has never happened before, and I can understand this extreme measure, although I'm pleading clumsy (it wasn't me playing, but my young son who forgot to deactivate a trainer for solo play...).
I had a hard time understanding everything I needed to do to try to appeal and at least try to explain what happened.
I wasn't familiar with BF4DB and I hardly ever go on Discord...
So I went on Discord to open an appeal, but after a discussion, I was told that the person who initiated the ban couldn't review this appeal and that I would have to follow up with another administrator on this one. But since then, I no longer have access to the Discord discussion, and my appeal seems to have suddenly ended... without further ado...
So is a ban always permanent?
Is there no form of leniency or second chance when someone messes up?
Should I uninstall this game, which is now completely useless to me?
I was told I could buy the game again to recreate an account,
even though this game is gradually dying over the years (the joke).

One last question, is a complaint only possible once here?

EDIT : I'm apparently obligated to respond here...
So what should I have done? Lied?
I chose to be honest and tried to explain the reason. It was more of a mistake than anything else. I'm not a professional cheater! Many of them use aimbots, etc., without being detected!
In this case, an initial ban of a few days would have been understandable and sufficient in many cases.
Everyone makes mistakes!

"Please do not create more threads about your situation".

Ok, Don't worry, I can see I'm talking to a brick wall.
I've requested that my account and all my personal information be removed from your site. I hope this goes as quickly as my ban...

Regards,
