Not yet we are waiting on EBs response. They've been conctacted via official channels.
We have had a response from EB. Unfortunately but understandable, they can't disclose their detection methods or causes for said violations. We are now discussing internally on how to handle the violations.
I received an 86001 violation several weeks ago. The only things I have noticed on my PC have been a failed nvidia update and the hard drive that houses my origin games has been going into checkdisk on startup lately. I don't have the greatest stats, but quite a bit of playtime like you guys are saying. EB is giving me that standard canned responses and dodging any responsibility of providing evidence, or any methods to discover offending programs.
Is there any information I can provide about computer state, or game information to this forum to help investigate these false violations?
Their evidence is the detection their product (PunkBuster) made. They are not required to give insight in their methods to anyone other then their contractor. They did admit to NEVER look at any statistics, ever. We are currently discussing on what to do with these violations.
We haven't found any solid evidence for any commonly used software being responsible for the kicks. But we are not sure if the kicks are being delayed or live.
Maybe its sweetfx or some other color corrector injector. Its always been a grey area. Now maybe its a banable offense. Or maybe they slipped a new anticheat into the game without saying anything, maybe a Fairfight type of detection. They could be catching macro users too. Just my 2 cents.
Not Sweetfx or reshade. All already tested.Maybe its sweetfx or some other color corrector injector. Its always been a grey area. Now maybe its a banable offense. Or maybe they slipped a new anticheat into the game without saying anything, maybe a Fairfight type of detection. They could be catching macro users too. Just my 2 cents.
They did mention the detections could be any cheat, specifically mentioning that no-recoil is cheating too. But they don't look at stats.
Do those programs reshade similar to f.lux?
My account is 2FA, so in theory that leads to issues that must be on my PC. EB isn't allowed to point to any specific issues so we're left guessing. I was kicked for 86001 when attempting to join a game in progress, so most likely mine would have been a pre recorded delayed kick instead of them noticing a violation in a live game correct?
I did not 2FA my account until quite some time ago (2 years?) someone had gotten my password, changed some things on my account and deleted all my friends. I was able to retrieve my account and go to 2fa after that; I am unsure if they played any games. I can search around for when exactly that all occurred but it was quite some time ago, hopefully too long to be on EB's radar if the hacker did do some shady stuff
Edit: I asked in my EB appeal about these specific three codes we're discussing here:
Note #9: There are no indications that there is a problem with these violations. We do not find these violations to be triggered in error.
We will of course investigate any information regarding a potential false detection.
After many weeks of discussion and some votes, our approach will be to keep enforcing the current EB violations. Why? We can not prove EB wrong as we are not able to find any trigger for their detections. As they stated multiple times, they never look at statistics like we do so the lack of cheat stats isn't something we can look at either.
How I personally look at it: never take any AC for 100% flawless. Not us, not FF, not PB. We as a widespread banlist are in a difficult position to just openly doubt certain detections from official AC's. They are build into the game, they are there for a reason and get paid for what they do. They also know more then us about their detections although they can not always share that.
In short: if you as server owner have legitimate doubt about ANY AC used in battlefield, use that whitelist button. Also report back to us why you think a certain official AC detection is odd. I can assure you that we will always investigate claims about potential false bans.
I know of someone caught you in the latest banwave violation 81662. Now, one of the pieces of software he had installed was some sort memory optimiser. Could something like that cause the bans? Have those that have been caught up in this or one of the others have similar software?
What is the name of the memory optimizer?
Baidu pc Faster.
He said he used it to liberate memory
I'm watching this now for more than a year and from my experience it's kind of random.
A lot of friends got banned over a long period of time and I know 100% for myself Punbuster bans innocent people. We run 3 BF3 servers since that without Punkbuster and today I start testing a BF4 without Punkbuster.
Does BF4DB ban for these violations mentioned in this thread and Punkbuster generally ?
Thx in advance & greetings.

That will answer your question!
